Artist Bio
Avery Calvert is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter born out of a combination of Alabama's folk scene and the Mississippi blues tradition. Working across genres like folk, pop, and country, his music blends acoustic elements with rich instrumental colors and intimate, emotional lyricism. Calvert has performed at venues across the Southeast, including Hal and Mal's in Jackson, MS, and the 1865 Club in Nashville, TN. He has also lent his lyrical skills to projects by other talented Nashville artists including Abby Kay Griffith and CC Lumia. His most recent single, “Purgatory,” is the first single off of an upcoming, yet unnamed project that will release later this year.
